About

Jackson Walker is a singer-songwriter based in Victoria, BC, known for crafting emotionally resonant songs that blend the raw intimacy of alternative folk with the dynamic edge of alternative rock. His music is known for its vivid storytelling, creating a sound that feels both expansive and deeply personal.

In October 2024, Jackson released his debut album Dear October, a reflective and lyrically driven project that has already surpassed 10,000 streams. The album showcases his strength as both a vocalist and a writer, introducing listeners to the heartfelt themes and sonic textures that define his work.

Jackson’s latest single, “Even If It Kills Me,” builds on this momentum. As the second single from his forthcoming album of the same name, following the May release of “Out of Toronto”. It highlights his evolving sound with a blend of emotional urgency and melodic charm. Both tracks have quickly emerged as listener favourites, marking a new creative chapter and hinting at the ambition behind his upcoming record.

On stage and in the studio, Jackson performs with his  band, a tight-knit group that brings his songs to life. The lineup features Alex Gwillim on electric guitar, Kai Aris on bass and backing vocals,  Mateo Sehn on drums,  and Jackson himself on acoustic guitar and lead vocals, guiding the emotional core of each performance.

Since 2023, the band has been performing across Victoria and the Lower Mainland, steadily building a local following through engaging live shows, thoughtful songwriting, and a sound that resonates across genre boundaries.
